Topic: Modifications of the Two-Stage Transportation Problem
Abstract: The paper considers modifications of the two-stage transportation problem and their applications, in particular to the problem of optimal set partitioning. The issue of the uniqueness of the solution to the linear two-stage transportation problem is studied using a corresponding quadratic optimization problem.
