Dear colleagues!
On September 24, 2026 at 14:00, there will be an International Scientific Seminar "Artificial Intelligence: Global Dialogue".
Speaker: Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences Zgurovsky Mykhailo Zakharovych (Educational and Scientific Complex "Institute of Applied System Analysis" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and NAS of Ukraine, Kyiv).
Topic: From Generative AI to Cognitive Autonomy: On the Way to a General Theory.
Abstract: General trends in the development of AI, energy and environmental challenges of its further progress are considered. Two main vectors are identified: 1. Artificial General Intelligence — AGI and 2. Development of cognitive autonomous systems. For the second direction, the foundations of a general theory based on cybernetics, systems analysis, and partially observable Markov decision processes are outlined. The central property of systems is defined as the assessment of the limits of the reliability of their knowledge and the consideration of uncertainty and risk in forecasting, learning, and autonomy control. An asymptotic principle for reducing measurable residual unreliability is proposed. The role of cognitive digital twins in experimental verification and iterative development of theory, models, and algorithms of individual and collective autonomous behavior is revealed.
Seminar Leaders: Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Khymich O.M., Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Zgurovsky M.Z., Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Palagin O.V.
Scientific Secretary: Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Yershov S.V.
We invite all interested researchers and specialists to participate in the seminar.
