On June 18, 2026, a general meeting of the scientific staff was held to conduct elections for the director of the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
By the resolution of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine dated 08.04.2026 No. 150, a competition was announced for the position of director of the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. One candidate was registered for the competition – academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Mykolayovych Khimich.
A secret ballot took place, in which 238 full-time scientific staff of the Institute participated (all registered at the meeting). The candidacy of academician Oleksandr Mykolayovych Khimich for the position of director of the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was supported by 97.5% of the scientific staff present at the meeting of the scientific staff of the Institute.
The general meeting of the scientific staff decided: based on the results of the secret ballot, to consider academician Oleksandr Mykolayovych Khimich elected to the position of director of the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
