The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity" and its Charter, on April 9, 2026, announced a competition for the position of Director of the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
According to the Charter of the NAS of Ukraine, the right to nominate candidates for the position of Director of the Institute belongs to: the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, the Department of Informatics of the NAS of Ukraine, members of the NAS of Ukraine, the academic council of the Institute, and the collectives of the scientific departments of the Institute.
A candidate for the position of Director of the Institute must be fluent in the state language, hold a scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (Candidate of Sciences), and have at least 10 years of experience in scientific or scientific-pedagogical positions. The same person may not serve as the head of the Institute for more than two terms.
The following documents must be attached to proposals regarding candidates for the position of director of a scientific institution of the NAS of Ukraine:
- Written consent to run for office, indicating information about the application or non-application of restrictions established by part three of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity";
- Questionnaire of the scientific worker (personal record sheet) with a photograph;
- Autobiography;
- Copies of taxpayer registration number, passport of a citizen of Ukraine, employment record book, copies of higher education documents, scientific degree, and academic title;
- List of scientific works;
- Document certifying the level of proficiency in the state language in accordance with part 3 of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language";
- Certificate of passing preliminary, periodic, and unscheduled psychiatric examinations of the established form;
- Certificate of no criminal record;
- Information certificate from the Unified State Register of persons who have committed corruption or related offenses, confirming the absence of such offenses by the candidate;
- Declaration of the candidate for the position, submitted in accordance with part three of Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption," provided that the person has not submitted an annual declaration for the previous year;
- Written consent to the collection and processing of personal data.
Submission of candidates' documents is carried out by the Department of Informatics of the NAS of Ukraine until 18:00 on June 9, 2026, at the address: 54 Volodymyrska Street, Kyiv.
